The theme of the women’s ministry at my church this year is Real, True, Amazing.
Real Women, True Stories, Amazing God.
Last month, I had the privilege of speaking at their special summer event entitled Real Marriages. It was a night of food, fun, and real-life marriage. Before the program began, someone asked me,
“Are you going to teach us how to be good wives?” (Scoffing) “Actually, I am going to share all the areas I have failed to love my husband.” (Excited), “Oh good, then I can relate!”
As I reflected on that comment, I can’t help but be aware of the goodness of our God. He not only gifted me with an opportunity to speak at my home church (a privilege I thought was still ten years out of my reach), but He confirmed the journey of this blog. He wants me to share my struggles and weaknesses because He wants to redeem them.
I’m not a perfect wife, but I love a perfect God.
Thank you for journeying with me as I walk in obedience to His prompting. Today I am sharing, over on the Unveiled Wife blog, a story that I shared at the Real Marriages event.
