Welcome to Pray-Day Thursday!
This week we are praying for our husbands to trust God and the authority of His Word.
Dear Lord, I pray that my husband will not lean on his own understanding, but will trust in You with all of his heart (Proverbs 3:5). As he’s trusting in You, I pray that he will always go back and land on the authority of Your Word, which is living and active — sharper than a double edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Thank You for giving us the Bible which is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. As my husband reads it, may he feel more and more equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Help my husband keep his way pure by living according to Your Word, and that he won’t take a step without using Your Word to light the way (Psalm 119:9, 105). Most of all Lord, I pray that my husband won’t just be a hearer or reader of the Word, but will do what it says (James 1:22). I ask all of this in the name of the Jesus. Amen.
