Today is the 100th Pray-Day Thursday!! I have loved having a specific, Scripture-based theme to pray for my husband every week, and I hope that you have too! Since the idea for Pray-Day Thursday stemmed from my devotional (For the Love of Our Husbands: 52 Devotions for Wives and Prayers for the Men They Love), I am going to give away three copies of my book! Enter to win via the Rafflecopter box at the bottom of this post! Good luck and thanks for joining with me each week as we pray for our husbands!
Father God, Revelation 3:22 says, “He who has an ear, let him hear.” With that verse in mind I pray that my husband will be a man of prayer who not only talks to you, but also takes the time to listen. Teach him how to distinguish your still, small voice that often comes as a gentle whisper rather than a raging storm (1 Kings 19:11-13). Please help him choose to make his ear attentive and convict his heart so that he will never turn a deaf ear to your instruction (Proverbs 2:2 and 28:9). I pray that my husband will come to know your voice intimately and that he will follow where it leads (John 10:27). I ask this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

Thanks, Rhonda! It is always a confirmation to me that PDT is what the Lord is wanting from me when people tell me it is the exact theme they are needing.

Thank you Darby for this website and your pray day Thursday’s! Praying for my Husband, to me, means that I have an opportunity to open his heart to receiving God’s word. To provide the ultimate support as his wife, and that’s drawing him closer to God. I don’t necessarily have a favorite verse to pray over him, but almost every week the prayers you post are perfect for what is on my heart for my Husband. I’m more of a young adult Christian in speaking of my spiritual growth and I love how accessible and clear you make praying for my Husband and my marriage. Thank you again for all you do!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing that with me! And congrats on winning! 🙂

I am so thankful for your devotions and Pray-Day Thursdays! I have noticed a change in my heart and how I see myself treating my spouse. It is amazing what God can do to our hearts when we trust Him to guide us and when we are forgiving and loving instead of harsh and mean.
darbyd says
Yes! You said it perfectly, “It is amazing what God can do to our hearts when we trust Him to guide us and when are forgiving and loving instead of harsh and mean.” Amen!

Praying for my husband is the best thing that I can do for him and for our marriage. It keeps my heart tender towards him. I also end up praying many of the same things for myself as I see a definite need to grow in some of the specific areas you choose for prayer.
darbyd says
Yes! It really does keep our hearts tender towards our mate, doesn’t it?! I love that about prayer. Thanks for commenting.

Praying for my husband means that I am speaking to God to look over our marriage and guide us both. A theme I might like to see if praying for good health in our marriage, as we have had a bought of bad health on part of myself.
