I have mentioned in previous posts that my husband is a very private man. Throughout our entire relationship, our communication struggles have been largely due to his personality… or so I thought! The Lord, in His goodness, has been taking me on a journey regarding my own communication weaknesses. Reflecting on what I have learned so far, I am humbled and embarrassed to admit that the bulk of our communication struggles have, truly, been mine.
Communication involves two important factors: speaking and listening. While I used to think I was an expert in both… I am realizing that is my weaknesses in both areas that have made the past decade a struggle.
This week, I am sharing some of the hard lessons I have been learning about the importance of a wife’s role in marital communication with The Unveiled Wife community.
To read more about this important topic, please join me over at The Unveiled Wife Blog. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Darby,
I love your willingness to hear God about YOU and see where you might be less than perfect. The more we are like that, the better life is for us and for all those around us.

Thank you, Paul! I appreciate your encouragement. I do strive to be a blogger who highlights her own weaknesses so that the Lord can redeem them…. and in my marriage, the biggest areas of growth have come from changing myself rather than waiting/wanting my husband to change. So it is close to my heart to be transparent – even when painful or embarrassing. 🙂
Thank you, again, for reading and commenting.
