Welcome to Pray-Day Thursday!
This week we are praying for our husbands to have peace over their past and hurts they have experienced.
Dear God, my husband’s past is full of mistakes he has made as well as wrongs that were done to him. Yet, Lord, I praise You because You aren’t limited by human blunders. Help my husband have confidence that there is no mistake in his life that You can’t redeem… for You bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes and You offer the oil of joy instead of mourning (Isaiah 6:13). May my husband accept the redemption that is found through the blood of Jesus Christ which will cover over all his sins (Ephesians 1:7 and Matthew 26:28). For the hurts in his life that are not a result of a poor choice or sin on his part, I pray that my husband would know that You can use even the deepest of pains for Your glory. All things work together for the good of those who love You and I ask that my husband would cling to that even when he can’t comprehend any good (Romans 8:28). I place my husband, his past, and his circumstances at your feet and I pray that what Satan intends to use for evil and harm in my husbands life, You would redeem and use for good (Genesis 50:20). I ask all of this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
