Lord, You are full of grace! This is demonstrated to us in the fact that You freely save us from our sins (Ephesians 2:8). You are also incredibly merciful (Luke 6:36). No one can compare to Your goodness, Father! I pray that my husband would experience, first hand, Your grace and mercy. May he experience the truth that even though his sins are like scarlet, You wash them white as snow (Isaiah 1:18). Help my husband to take this promise to heart and never doubt Your forgiveness and love for him. With the acceptance and freedom that is found only in You, I pray that my husband would be faithful in showing grace and mercy to those around him. Give him a resolve to be a wonderful example of Your character. You desire for us to show mercy (Matthew 9:13) and I pray that my husband will never hesitate in doing so. In this fallen world, I know my husband will be hurt and disappointed by others (myself included), but I pray that he would not let his emotions or personal judgements get in the way of showing grace and mercy to everyone. Even those, Lord, who he might feel “don’t deserve it” since none of us deserve Your grace. In the name of Jesus I ask these things. Amen.
