It’s that time of the year again where I look back over my blog and highlight some of my favorite posts. I use the word “favorite” loosely as I didn’t choose the posts with the most comments or the ones that drove the most traffic to the blog. Instead, I am highlighting ten posts where I undeniably felt the Lord’s hand directing my words. As it turns out, those are usually the ones I’m most embarrassed about, but I’m learning to embrace that.
Before I share my work, I want to highlight a ministry that I was able to partner with in 2015. Last year I highlighted Mary Anne Brady, my editor, who I highly recommend and still utilize (although not on this particular post, so don’t judge her for any errors). In May I was able to connect with Jaclyn from Union28 Marriage Apparel, and she is not only delightful but also an incredible woman of God. Union 28 Marriage Apparel is an excellent small business with a heart for Biblical marriage. If you haven’t heard of them, but sure to check out my review of their products and visit their website.

On a more personal note, I have been clinging to Judges chapter 6 (click here to read it) in recent weeks. My insecurities about my ability and message leave me apologizing for writing. Similar to Gideon in the book of Judges, I have not only doubted this calling but have begged the Lord for confirmation that He, in fact, desires for me to participate in this ministry. He always reassures me, and yet I continue to demand more and more confirmations. Jason recently called me out (in a loving way) on this attitude, which led to an intense wrestling match with the Lord. He won, and I have surrendered to the reality that I may not have much faith in myself, but I believe in my calling and have complete confidence in the One who has called me. So, on that note, I am very excited for what 2016 holds in store for darbydugger.com, and I am very thankful to have you along on this journey.

Happy 2016!
P.S. If you’re looking for great date night ideas for 2016, don’t miss my article, “52 Original Date Ideas” running on the Unveiled Wife blog. I intended to write a separate post introducing the topic, but after Christmas a delightful flu virus has been visiting our family, so this postscript plug will have to do.
