Welcome to Pray-Day Thursday!
This week we are praying a portion of Hebrews 12 over our husbands.
Dear Lord, I pray that my husband will never make light of Your discipline or lose heart when You rebuke him. Remind him that You discipline the ones You love and that, through Jesus, You consider him Your son. Give him the insight and strength to be able to endure hardships as discipline. When You correct my husband in the areas he needs it, I ask that his respect for You will increase as he submits to Your will. Thank you, Father God, for disciplining us for our own good! I pray that my husband will share in Your holiness… keeping in mind that while no discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. I beg that my husband will produce a harvest of righteousness and peace throughout his lifetime! Strengthen his feeble arms and weak knees through Your instruction (Hebrews 12:5-12). In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
